Rockers 30 Seconds to Mars with millions of fans around the world come to Lithuania

On 3 November, Vilnius Siemens Arena will shake from 30 Seconds to Mars rock group famous for its roaring performances. Last year, the rockers from America triumphed at MTV Europe music awards where they were recognized as the best rock group, thus, adding one more solid award to their collection of titles.

“Guys from 30 Seconds to Mars rapidly gaining popularity organize concerts in the largest cities of America and Europe and participate in famous musical festivals, when each time tens of thousands of their fans gather in stadiums and arenas to listen to them. Today, 21 June, the guys will hold a concert in Estonia where twelve-thousand army of fans will burst into cheering greeting 30 Seconds to Mars,” states Juras Vėželis, Managing Director of SEVEN Live.

30 Seconds to Mars was founded by actor and singer Jared Leto (lead vocals, guitar) who invited his brother Shannon Leto (drums) and some other friends. Those were replacing each other ending up with guitarist Tomo Milicevic being the current third member of the group.

Though the group was created in 1998, the guys made their debut on the big stage only in 2002 with their composition “Attack”, which has became a real hit. Music of the USA rock group is inspired by such legends as U2, The Cure, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd.

“Because of the energy which the trinity of 30 Seconds to Mars creates during their concerts and their ability to turn the audience on, their concert will definitely be in TOP 3 of Siemens Arena concerts. Their concerts can be compared to performances of such groups as Linkin Park or Depeche Mode,” says J. Vėželis.

Over the period of its existence, the group released three albums selling over 3.5 million of copies. Their second album “A beautiful lie” became platinum several times. Presently, the group presents to its fans its newest album entitled “This is War” released in 2009 and praised by many critics.

“This is War” album was produced by one the world’s most influential producers Flood (U2, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Smashing Pumpkins) and Steve Lillywhite (U2, The Rolling Stones, Peter Gabriel). Besides, this album also has one exclusive feature – you can hear over 100 thousand of 30 Seconds to Mars fans singing along with Jared Leto.

“Practically for the first time we are bringing a contemporary star that has not become a legend yet, however young people around the globe go crazy for the group’s music. They are especially wanted at famous and largest music festivals gathering people interested in today's musical culture and striving for music that corresponds with their worldview. This is an MTV generation. We believe that it exists in Lithuania, as well,” says J. Vėželis.

In various corners of the world 30 Second to Mars has great teams of fans forming unofficial clubs, for example The Mars Army or Echelon. Members of the latter are actively uniting in the Baltic States as well, including Lithuania.

Preliminary ticket sale for 30 Seconds to Mars concert for members of Tiketa club will take place on 23-26 June. Open ticket sale will start on 27 June. Tickets are distributed by Tiketa.
