METALLICA - WORLD MAGNETIC TOUR

Music stars of the top level never seen here in the history of concerts come to Lithuania. On 20 April, „Metallica“, one of the most successful rock group of all times, will deliver its presentation of the world tour „World Magnetic Tour“ on Vilnius „Siemens“ Arena. In Vilnius, the musicians from the USA will present their recent album „Death Magnetic“.

„We are proud of the successful invitation of „Metallica“ to Lithuania: today it, together with U2 and Madonna, form three top concerting performers of the planet. Because concerts of this world tour of „Metallica“ are arranged on best arenas only, its admirers will be provided a unique opportunity of listening the group (that usually delivers its concerts to huge crowds in parks or stadiums) from „Siemens“ Arena. It is a stunning view“, Vidmantas Šiugždinis, the Head of the group of entertainment companies „Seven entertainment“, says. The concert is arranged by „Seven Live“, the member of the said group.

Tickets for the presentation of the cultish rockers shall be firstly offered to members of the club of ticket-distributing company “Tiketa” from 2 December 06:00 pm. Selling of tickets to other fans of the group will be started in “Tiketa” system on 7 December 10 o’clock. The price of first tickets (their quantity is limited) is 175 Litas; then the price will be from 225 to 295 Litas. Total about 10 thousand tickets will be offered for the concert of „Metallica“ in Vilnius.

„Metallica“ brings the own powerful acoustic systems used in  this tour everywhere and a special scene. „It is unique that the scene will be fixed in the middle of the hall, so the group will be seen from all sides of the Arena. The distance between the most remote point of the hall and the scene will be 42 m only – all spectators will be in the epicenter of the concert“, V. Šiugždinis said.

Microphones for the stars will be fixed in all four sides of the scene; a rotating drummer’s stage will be situated in the center or the scene. In addition to the recent works of „Metallica“, its classical works, such as „One“, „Nothing Else Matters“, „Enter Sandman“, „Seek And Destroy“ and „Master Of Puppets“, will be presented on „Siemens“ Arena.

„Metallica“ is one of few groups worldwidely that becomes more popular in course of time. The numbers speak for themselves: since the year 1982, the rockers sold over 100 million copies of gold and platinum albums and the number of their fans in the social net „Facebook“ exceeds 2.4 million. Abundant awards of „Metallica“ include nine „Grammy“ statuettes.

No less support was provide to the recent album  „Death Magnetic“, issued by „Metallica“ after five-year break; in the album, the group returned again to headwaters and admired its fans once more. Within three first days of the album’s distribution, 0.5 million copies of „Death Magnetic“ were sold worldwidely. In respect of sales, the album was on the top in 25 European countries, USA, Canada, Australia – total on tops of 40 countries worldwidely.
