Sting will come to Lithuania

According to inform from “Live Nation“, legendary performer Sting will come to Lithuania in September.  One of the most popular performers of the world will present himself on “Siemens“ Arena on 17 September accompanied by “Royal Philharmonic Orchestra“ from Great Britain.

“We are glad to confirm informal news - Sting is coming to Lithuania. Although the visit of the performer to our country is not the first, in September the well-known Sting’s hits will sound newly when accompanied by symphonic orchestra recognized all over the world. We are sure that interpretations of the best songs of the performer in luxuriously coloured consonance should pleasantly surprise both lovers of classic and pop music,“ Vidmantas Šiugždinis, the CEO of  SEVEN Entertainment“ group, says.

The presentation of the famous rocker and the Royal symphonic orchestra from Great Britain will be listened from sitting accommodations only, so the number of tickets for sale is limited. Total only 9 thousand tickets will be offered for the presentation of the star in Vilnius.

“Because Sting comes with the orchestra, a part of the Arena will be covered thus forming its wing and the scene will be of a really impressive size. In addition, only sitting accommodations will be used, so we’ll offer only 9 thousand tickets for spectators. For the last Sting’s concert in Lithuania, over 11.5 thousand tickets were sold and all of them were bought out momentarily,” V. Šiugždinis said.

During the concert tour with the orchestra in America and Europe, famous songs performed by Sting will sound in unusual way: new symphonic arrangements were created for them. Maestro Steven Mercurio (having worked with L. Pavarotti and A. Bocelli) will conduct “Royal Philharmonic Orchestra“ of 45 musicians.

During his career, Sting popularized various genres of music, issued many platinum albums and his author’s songs turned into hits instantaneously. The musician of British origin was provided with record number of awards - 16 “Grammy“ statuettes. All over the world, 100 million Sting’s albums were sold.

“I am glad to have an opportunity of having a concert tour with the Royal symphonic orchestra from Great Britain, because while working together, we form a palette of quire new colours of music and newly recover the song presented by me in live concerts for thirty years,” Sting asserts.

On 17 September, the best works by the performer will be presented in Vilnius, including “Roxanne“, “Next To You“, “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic“ and “Every Breath You Take“. Sting’s fans will also listen to many songs of the solo career of the musician, such as “Englishman in New York“, “Fragile“, “Russians“, “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You“, “Fields of Gold“, “Desert Rose“ and others.

“Tiketa“ company is involved in distributing tickets for Sting’s concert, who is one of the most popular worldwide known musicians and authors of songs. From 18 June 10:00 am, members of “Tiketa“ club will be offered the tickets. Other fans of the musicians will be offered the same from 21 June 10:00 am. The price of the first tickets will be 129 Litas; however, their number is limited. Later, the prices of tickets will grow and vary from 149 to 299 Litas.

The biggest Baltic group of entertainment companies “SEVEN entertainment“ that unites Lithuanian leaders of various sectors of entertainment involved in management of arenas, organization of events and distribution of tickets, will organize Sting’s concert in Vilnius.
