“Disney On Ice” show is coming to Lithuania

The world acclaimed “Disney On Ice” show is coming to Lithuania for the first time. Each year, the touring Walt Disney ice show will arrange impressive shows in the Siemens arena in Vilnius on 14 and 15 February.

“It is wonderful that finally we will also present in Lithuania the show that is an excellent entertainment for the whole family”, told Kenneth Feld, manager and owner of the Feld Entertainment company having an exclusive right to create “Disney on Ice” shows.

According to him, children are an inseparable part of the show – they rejoice, laugh, approve with whoops and experience together with the heroes of their favourite fairy tales. “All this makes the “Disney On Ice” show an unforgettable event”, told Mr. Feld.

“We are pleased to announce this important news for big ones and small ones on 107th birthday of the world’s greatest animator Walt Disney. We have no doubt that exceptional “Disney on Ice” shows will become a wondrous adventure for the whole family”, told Director General Renaldas Načajus of the SEVEN Live company that organizes this event. 

In Lithuania, “Disney On Ice” show will introduce the greatest-ever production “Princess Classics”. The greatest and most interesting scenery was created specially for its show – a triple rotating castle that is transformed according to seven most famous Walt Disney fairy tales. “Princess Classics” is equal to a wondrous  journey of laugh and adventure  with the heroes of seven most favourite fairy tales “Aladdin”, "Cinderella”, “Beauty and The Beast”, “The Little Mermaid”,  “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, “Sleeping Beauty” and a number of other stories.

The twenty third “Disney On Ice” show “Princess Classics” is created by the most famous specialists of their field. The team of choreographers is managed by Tom   Dickson who has won for a number of times the “Choreographer’s of the Year” title and represented the USA figure skating team in 2002-2004. He is assisted by his wife Catarina Lindgren, also a former Olympian, who has won three official championships in synchronous skating in 2000, 2001 and 2003. The impressive experience is conveyed by both figure skaters by making complicate and impressive tricks that are performed by 20 skaters.

The choreographers and skaters are assisted by the scenery designer Eduardo Sicangco who has worked in such famous halls as “Radio Music Hall”, “The Kennedy Centre”, costume designer of numerous popular Broadway shows, and lighting specialist Peter Morse of the HBO television company awarded with “Emmy” awards, who has cooperated with Madonna, Janet Jackson, Shania Twain, Barbara Streisant and Bettie Midler.

During nearly 30 years “Disney On Ice” became one of the most famous and popular ice shows on the planet. The world acclaimed ice shows are created under exclusive rights by the Feld Entertainment company in cooperation with the Walt Disney Company. The main stars in the “Disney On Ice” shows intended for the whole family are the heroes of Walt Disney fairy tales. Currently, as many as eight different  “Disney on Ice” shows are staged:  “Worlds Of Fantasy“, “Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour”, “Princess Wishes”, “Disneyland Adventure“, “Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo”, “The Magical World Of Disney On Ice” and “Mickey & Minnie's Amazing Journey”.

The “Disney On Ice” shows are demonstrated in the whole world – from the USA, Europe to South America, Middle East, South Asia and Australia. Since now, Lithuania will be included into the map of the “Disney On Ice” show.
