Jared Leto: being a film star is easier than being a musician

Already performing in Vilnius Siemens Arena on November 3^rd together with his massively regarded and controversially judged band 30 Seconds to Mars, an actor and a vocalist Jared Leto confessed that being an actor instead of a musician is much easier and slightly more interesting. However, having submerged himself in music for the past few years, he has abandoned an actor's profession completely.

„It is extremely interesting to participate in film production, it is probably the most interesting activity to me. I enjoy creating a character required for the film, building him up from scratch, – claims J.Leto. – I do not need to have myself filmed in five different films in a year. I am definitely not aiming to become the person who has acted in the most films ever“.

According to J.Leto, it is essential that the role which he creates in a film challenges him, and gives him some new experience; that is why the actor chooses working in films produced by small, rather than giant film studios. „I am curious about being a small part of a big jigsaw“, – he states.

The last film where the sexy Jared Leto acted almost 4 years ago, was Mr Nobody. Currently, the star of films like Fight Club, Panic Room, The Thin Red Line has no time for acting.  For the past two years, together with the guys from 30 Seconds to Mars – his brother Shannon and  Tomo Miličević – he is living in the rhythm of world tour. Over the two years these extravagant rockers have already performed in more than 300 concerts.

„Being a musician you become much more responsible for everything. In music I am a songwriter, a person who has all sorts of creative ideas behind him, a producer, a director and an actor at the same time. It requires much more energy and responsibility“, – names Jared Leto.
